Job Description

Reports to: Site Engineer

Summary:

We have a need for a new Construction Inspector to join our team. This person will inspect construction methods and workmanship to ensure that contractors build roadways, bridges, traffic signals and related highway structures in accordance with plans and specifications. Perform work related to construction activities such as site tests, design data collection, construction record-keeping and so on. Employee at this level performs work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the Site Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Observe and inspect ongoing construction work.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure that work is in compliance with plans and specifications.
• Inspection of Mechanical work and underground utility installation.
• Inspect barricades and report deficiencies on inspection checklist to ensure compliance with barricade standards.
• Maintain a daily activity of work in progress and status of completion and discusses construction related problems with supervisor.
• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
• Familiar with and review construction drawings, participate in design submissions, understand design intent, and master technical points; if construction drawings cannot guarantee the quality of the project, they should actively give advices.

Qualifications:

• University graduated, Related Quality Inspection with a minimum of 5 years working experience.
• Strong skills of English speaking and writing.
• Knowledge of computer software, Word & Excel & PPT &AUTOCAD for documentation.
• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Must be flexible, have the ability to multi-task and handle pressure.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills as well as analyzing reports.
