UWC Mostar seeks to appoint dedicated and inspired educators who are committed to the intellectual, social, and ethical development of students and who recognize that learning also takes place beyond the classroom. We are seeking maternity leave replacements for the following positions for the period January to December 2025:
- Teacher of IBDP Croatian language and literature, part-time position (50%) on a fixed term
- Admissions Coordinator, part-time position (50%) on a fixed term

Position 1
Minimum Qualifications
- At least BA from the corresponding faculty (qualified to teach language and literature), minimum 4-year University Degree, 240 ECTS.
- Proven fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven use and integration of IT skills in the classroom.
Qualifications that would be an advantage
- Previous teaching experience, and professional teaching qualifications.
- Previous experience working at United World Colleges or IB schools.
- Ability to meet all IB requirements and deadlines.
- Readiness and qualifications to teach Theory of Knowledge.
- Willingness to assume pastoral care duties as house parent or house fellow.
- International mindedness and ability to work well in a multicultural environment.
- Commitment to UWC mission and values.
- Willingness to engage students beyond regular classroom hours.
- Ability and willingness to actively participate in the school’s Co-curricular program.
- Ability to develop good relationships within a team and work positively and constructively with others.
Main tasks from the Job description for the position of Teacher of IBDP Croatian language and literature
- To prepare and conduct teaching with professionalism, and apply a high level of pedagogical and methodological skills.
- To plan and deliver the prescribed curriculum for the subject.
- To actively participate in the improvement of the teaching process.
- To monitor the academic performance of students and report on it according to the requirements of the College.
- To perform all required administration for the subject.
- To supervise and administrate at least one CAS activity (Creativity, Activity, Service).
Position 2
Minimum Qualifications
- High-school graduate (4-year degree) or BA in social sciences (3 or 4-year degree).
- Proven fluency in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven use and integration of IT skills in the classroom.
Qualifications that would be an advantage
- Previous relevant experience.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- International mindedness and ability to work well in a multicultural environment.
- Commitment to UWC mission and values.
- Ability to develop good relationships within a team and work positively and constructively with others.
Main tasks from the Job description for the position of Admissions Coordinator
- Contact the National Committees and UWC International regarding the admission process.
- Administrates the admission of students.
- Prepares nomination data for the Director of Administration and Finance.
- Coordinates and gives logistic support to the selection process in BiH.
- Keeping the students' admission files.
- Sends joining information to students and parents, and communicates with students and parents.
- Coordinates arrival of new students and organizes Induction Week.
- Participates in monthly online meetings with UWC Admissions Directors.
